Changing your physical state. Jump up and down like you’re excited about something, such as getting good news about a promotion or your team winning the championship.
Smiling a genuine actual smile - not a phony smile, but a genuine tender smile, which would naturally occur when thinking of something that you cherish, such as holding your newborn child or grandchild, watching a puppy play, or watching a feel-good movie.
Muscle memory will kick in and by smiling, you will automatically kick-start feeling good.Use your imagination to focus on experiences with high-level positive feelings. Imagine scenarios in which you would naturally experience these emotions and feel the energy shift inside of you.
Listen to music that you love and which makes you feel happy. For most people, the music will be what was popular when you were a teenager (providing the lyrics are still upbeat; so if rap was popular when you were a teen, be sure that the music you select has positive messages.)
